The Benefits of Struggling

As we grow older, we consider getting popular in school rather than focussing on studies. Nerds become the joke of the school and all those who misbehave get all the attention and fame by other students. Smoking and drinking is considered “cool” and students brag about it in school just to show that they are rich and old enough to do all those things and consider it as a source of fame. Being old means maturing. If these kids are going to smoke and drink and then brag about it or post pictures on social media, then this sort of behaviour does not show maturity. The saddest thing is that either the parents are unaware of these things due to lack of knowledge or are encouraging their kids to do so, feeling as if the kids are mature enough (when they are not) or are either saying that they have no control over their kids, they do as they wish. Battling Defeat
